Cai Shuya, Chief Reporter of Xinhua News Agency Singapore Branch, announced at the press conference that the first Asia Pacific Cultural and Tourism Summit Forum with the theme of “Wonderful Chinese Charm in Southeast Asia” will be held in late September this year, and the event will officially launch. The forum activities will focus on promoting the deep integration of “culture+tourism+industry”, especially the mutual learning and exchange of new cultural and tourism formats with humanistic value in the Asia Pacific region, including intangible cultural heritage and art, special regional innovative products, etc., exploring new forms and contents of cross-border cooperation.
Li Liangyi, Chairman of Huayun Tourism, highlighted the “Most Popular Tourism Route Selection”, “Most Popular Cultural and Tourism Institution Selection”, and “Most Popular Cultural and Tourism Resort Hotel Selection” activities as highlights of the forum. An online voting platform was also set up simultaneously, and through preliminary selection, mass online voting, and expert evaluation, scores were jointly given based on customer experience, cultural characteristics, social reputation, social responsibility, and contribution standards. This will provide a new stage for showcasing high-quality cultural and tourism resources, further stimulating the vitality of the cultural and tourism industry and improving service quality.

The Executive Chairman of Singapore Global Economic and Trade Centre, Jacqueline Chan, introduced and analyzed the new trends in the cultural and tourism industry in recent years due to changes in geopolitical and technological innovation. The integration of cultural resources with characteristic tourism products, technological innovation and creative industries with study tours, and the integration of technology based cultural and tourism projects have been favored by capital and become hot new formats and models.
It is reported that the forum activities will combine with the new formats of the cultural and tourism industry to hold a series of supporting activities such as special lectures, cultural salons, and exhibitions of characteristic cultural souvenirs, allowing the public to experience the rich cultural and tourism charm of the Asia Pacific region on multiple platforms.
